In 2006 Conoco Phillips Immingham Humber refinery replaced two in number coke drums. As part of the coke drum replacement Ovalway Hydraulic Engineering designed, fabricated and installed the hydraulic piping to supply the new hydraulic system at the bottom of the drum.
Due to the tight shutdown dates the 2500 meters of pipework was pre-fabricated from surveys, measurements and drawings done by Ovalway.
The fabrication was laid out on the floor, 180 degrees from its intended installation point. The pipework was to be ran on the underside of the concrete structure some 4 meters from the level below.
All of the pipework was fabricated and then transported to site in spool packages to be installed in order.
On completion the pipework was flushed and tested to clients specifications. The system was commissioned by our team of Engineers.
